Miscellaneous--

Born and raised in Oregon.  Grew up hiking, canoeing, climbing, camping, backpacking our native land, which gave me a deep appreciation for Oregon's landscape.  Spent summers on the Lewis & Clark College campus (father a professor there), and there developed a love for the Arts & Crafts movement in architecture and landscape design. 

Interests: travel, native plants ("plant nerd"), garden tours, hiking, art, photography, reading, journaling, do-it-yourself building projects, designing do-it-yourself building projects, being outdoors at any time.

Family: married 27 years, son and daughter in college.  We garden on a sunny, quarter-acre lot in Columbia County, OR, where you'll see us out in the yard with our trowels and wheelbarrow and always with our sweet, fetch-crazed dog.
